“My Faith Is More Important To Me Than Life Itself.”

Zewar, a taxi driver from Iraq, only lived to see his son, Ephraim enter his 5^th month of life.

Zewar, was abused and warned by several of his passengers when he tried to convert them to Christianity, but he didn’t care, he loved the Lord with everything he had.

His own father even drove him out to the desert and threatened to leave him there if he didn’t convert back to Islam. “Drive away, Father”, Zewar smiled, “my faith is more important to me than life itself.”

Just 4 year after Zewar became a Christian he was shot, by his fellow taxi driver, 28 times. His killer told police, “I dreamt that the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, told me to kill Zewar and then I will go to Paradise”…his type of paradise must be different to mine…

It’s people like Zewar who give us hope. His own father betrayed him and his fellow taxi driver, but yet he clung to the cross, never letting go.

We as Christians, who don’t face persecution, need to be able to stand up for God in front of our friends, let alone our enemies.
